A Blessing for Healing

Bless this day with healing, bless it with

radiant sun energy, fill each cell of the body,

bringing a flood of healthy energy to all the body,
banishing illness & disease, as healing grows.

May the abundant powers of health flourish within, each day,
may they expand & grow stronger,
bringing the gifts of vitality,
strength & well- being,
Blessings flow now with ample energy & happiness

Let's Share a Dream: MLK Day

In today's America, where the spirit of humanity has been swallowed up by greed, where money rules the day, where politics and social institutions run as well and effectively as the top 10% grudgingly permit (thieves find rules, laws and government so inconvenient) ~ I would like to think that were MLK alive today, he would not limit his advocacy to matters of race, but rather, as a minister and as a spiritual leader, see the plight of the 'little people' who have no leadership, no advocate, and no brave warrior in their corner to oppose the continual degradation of rights by the power brokers.

Today (and every day), let us 'little people' demand an end to the conditions and circumstances that allow and permit a choice few unlimited rights, while distributing to us, the taxpayers, the duty of paying the bill ~ for an extravagance and luxury of a magnitude never before seen on this earth ~ and to no good cause, mind you!  Look around - have we made inroads into poverty?  Is the planet any less polluted now than it was ten, twenty years ago?  The promise of job creation on the heels of deregulation - has that happened? No!  In fact, what has instead happened is that education to the poor has been cut, housing and food programs for the sick, elderly and poor slashed, medical benefits to the elderly and disabled slashed (one is hard pressed to find a specialized MD within a one hundred mile radius to even examine a Medicare patient, much less provide any necessary testing, surgical services, or writing prescription medication). And the jobs? They went everywhere but here!

Let us restore the Spirit of the people - each and every human being, whose inherent dignity is respected, whose fragile life is celebrated, supported and uplifted - and whose support is not simply assumed, but earned.

We must demand a government, a society, and a world worthy of us.

Let us dream. And then ... let us go out and make it happen.

In the spirit of late, great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr,

Amen
